COMPEX INSPECTORS
The ideal candidate will have a background electrical, instrumentation and control engineering within a hazardous environment and must be COMPEX(1-4) qualified – the ability and desire to learn is essential. Experience in CompEx modules EX01-04 and EX01-06, as well as installation and inspection work in accordance with IEC60079-17.
INSTRUMENT TECHNICIANS
We are currently looking for Instrument Technicians.
Responsibilities and tasks
Carry out instrument planned, preventative and remedial maintenance on equipment including but not limited to the following:
Electric, hydraulic and pneumatic actuators
Logic, manual, relief, control and non-return valves
Level, pressure, temperature and flow indicators
Level, pressure, temperature, flow, fire, gas vibration and position transmitters
Gas and liquid analysers
Electronic, hydraulic and pneumatic control loops
Electronic, hydraulic and pneumatic measurement loops
Pressure storage equipment
Electronic, hydraulic and pneumatic circuits
Electrical interlocks
AC and DC power protection
Calibration of electronic, pneumatic and hydraulic devices and systems
Replacement of static mechanical seals, PCBs, valves and valve trims, electronic, hydraulic and pneumatic circuit devices, software and bearings
Verification of equipment pressure integrity, equipment and machinery performance criteria and mechanical equipment isolation integrity
Monitoring and analysis of equipment mechanical deterioration and malfunction
Monitoring and analysis of electronic deterioration and malfunction
Analysis of pneumatic, hydraulic and software malfunction
General Operational duties:
Carry out Plant operation tasks, which may include but will not be limited to the following:
Verification of plant and equipment performance criteria, isolation integrity, process stability and process optimisation.
Preparation for and implementation of plant start up and shut down.
Adjustment of level, temperature, pressure, composition, flow, voltage, speed, position and response parameters.
Process, Mechanical and LV electrical isolation ( when authorised ).
Vent to flare and atmosphere, drain and purge.
Hazard detection including fire, gas, explosion, occupational, and impact risks.
Hazard protection including extinguishant delivery and hazard containment.
Lifting and handling.
Permit to Work responsibilities.
Qualifications & personal attributes
Apprenticeship, or equivalent, with City & Guilds
Competent in the use of P&ID’s
Familiar with F&G Detection, Protection and Control Systems
Competent in the use of Electrical and Instrument Loop Drawings
